The annual Havelock Mussel & Seafood Festival is a vital part of Marlborough’s summer and its back on Saturday the 12th of March 2022 at the Havelock Domain. Located in Havelock, the gateway to the picturesque Marlborough Sounds, its the perfect way to enjoy fresh seafood, alongside great kiwi music and entertainment for everyone.

As well as the native NZ Green Shell Mussel the festival also celebrates New Zealand King Salmon and the Pacific Oyster which are also grown in the pristine waters of the Marlborough Sounds. 

The Havelock Mussel & Seafood Festival is a family friendly event, with something for everyone from cuisine to culture and much more in between.
The Havelock Mussel & Seafood Festival is a community not-for-profit event and has been contributing back to the local community since 2004. 

Festival Entertainment

Catch Jordan Luck Band, The Butlers and Lord Echo live on the Gascoigne Wicks Stage. 

Celebrity Chef Simon Gault will be in the NZ King Salmon Culinary Tent.

2022 NMIT Festival Chef Application

The Havelock Mussel & Seafood Festival is proud to be partnering with local Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology (NMIT) for the first ever 2022 NMIT Festival Chef cooking competition. 

This community cooking competition is open to all ages and all abilities, with the focus being on creating a Kai Moana dish highlighting NZ King Salmon and/or NZ Greenshell Mussels.
